SELECTION OF THE FILMS IN COMPETITION
a) The "Sole Luna" festival management selects the films that will enter the competition. The selection depends on the unquestionable judgement of the Direction.
b) Only films produced after 1 January 2007 can enter the competition.
c) The official entry form can be filled on line. It is available on the web site http://www.solelunaunpontetraleculture.com.
Sole Luna Festival must receive the tape/CD for screening and all the materials by April 15th at the latest.
d) Regardless of whether or not an entrant is selected for the competition, materials submitted will not be returned. DVD copies will be stored at the archive of FILMOTECA REGIONALE SICILIANA.
HOW TO ENTER THE FILMS
The deadline for submitting films for the festival is 15th of April 2010.
The material must be sent to the address: Sole Luna Festival c/o Alessandra Amorello - Via della Concordia, 57 90124 Palermo (Italy). The Direction must receive:
1. A DVD copy of the film. Films in a language other than English must be subtitled;
2. A dialogue list, both in English and Italian language; we would appreciate also an electronic copy of the dialogue list in any of the following formats: doc and PDF;
3. A completed and signed entry form with the DVD of the film.
4. A completed and signed entry form must be attached to the film and, if not already filled on line, it must be also sent by mail to the following address: info@solelunaunpontetraleculture.com
5. In case of a film being selected for the sections in competition, the festival will notify the applicant, director, producer and distributor of the film BY MAY 15th AT THE LATEST;
6. The Festival office must receive the films selected to enter the competition no later than JUNE 1st, 2010 in any of the following screening format: BETACAM, DVCAM, DVCPRO. The copies for screening, to be shown in any of these formats, must be sent without subtitles, the Festival will subtitle the entries selected in Italian language.
All the DVDs, envelopes, BETACAM tapes, containers, etc., should be labelled “For cultural purposes only – NO COMMERCIAL VALUE”.
The winners of the “Sole Luna, International Documentary Film Festival on Mediterranean and Islamic cultures 2010” should mention the Prize obtained in the credits of their short and on all related documentation.
The subscriber declares that all the submitted information is true and allows their use for promotional and communication purposes related to the Festival (catalogue, web site, press releases, etc.). By entering the Festival, each individual filmmaker or producer is responsible for the content of his work and explicitly grants authorisation for use of musical and visual material submitted.
All participants, just by sending an entry to the Festival, fully accept these Rules and Regulations. This Regulation is part of the entry form and it is subscribed together with it.
Should any problem arise, it will be solved by the Justice Court of Palermo: “Tribunale di Palermo”.
All personal information will be treated in respect of the Italian Law no. 675/96 and subsequent modifications and integrations.
